The idea…
When customers started to claim an efficient management tool for a professional planning of appointments, resources and vacations specially designed for Lotus Notes, we took on the challenge straight away. Moreover, the market required a user-friendly system designed to to graphically display all calendar entries. By listening to and analysing our customers’ requirements, we reached the first milestone in developing an exceptional planning and management system:

The product...
With Visual Team Calendar we managed to develop a ground-breaking and unique solution, which allows the user to gain highest benefit due to its user-friendliness. The integration of a Gantt Chart functionality allows a simple graphic display of appointment, resource and vacation entries by means of a bar chart. Entries and reservations can be easily displayed in Lotus Notes and changed simply via drag&drop. Users are informed of changes by email.

The free selection of the timescale (e.g. week, month or year) allows the user to easily organise resources and to optimise available time on a daily basis. Moreover, appointments can be generated, changed and deleted very quickly. The unique selling point of Visual Team Calendar is the total review of all appointments and occupancies. Calendar entries are gathered for each individual, but also for teams and departments. As a result, the resource analyses for persons, groups, departments, meeting rooms, appointments and customers can be implemented very quickly and are available on demand. Users keep their individual appointments and vacation entries in their personal calendar. The collector agent connects to the personal user calendars to collect all calendar entries and reservations in order to save them in a central database.

Development...
Visual Team Calendar is constantly being enhanced by including wishes from our customers into our new versions, (e.g. improvement of the daily and monthly view or performance enhancements, new design, simplified administration, etc.) so we are able to provide our users with a superb management tool.

Future…
Looking into the future, we are continuously planning improvements and innovations in order to achieve better performance and optimized productivity. We are continuously including ideas and recommendations from our customers into our products.
